Description

The Global Seed Operations (GSO) Cost Performance Leader will be essential in managing cost analysis for Seed Productivity and providing both guidance and direction for cost management initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing actionable strategies to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives through detailed analysis, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships across all levels and functions within Corteva to support financial objectives in Global Seed Operations.
  • Seed Productivity Reporting, Analysis & Guidance: Prepare and review comprehensive cost analyses and reports for senior leadership, ensuring clarity in communication of insights and identification of cost-saving opportunities. Provide guidance and direction to leader for cost management initiatives based on analysis.
  • Seed Productivity Cost Forecast Development: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to help Global Seed Operations leadership evaluate risks and potential financial outcomes.
  • Seed Productivity Cost Information Accuracy: Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data related to seed costs, enabling effective analysis of business opportunities.
  • Modeling and Forecasting Enhancement: Improve and enhance current methods for modeling, forecasting, and reporting to support well-informed financial decisions.
  • Multi-Year Planning Support: Contribute to multi-year financial planning and business analytics to support long-term strategic goals.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects focused on identifying and quantifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Productivity Variance Explanation: Provide monthly explanations and recommendations regarding productivity variances to GSO leadership.
  • Cost Review Assistance: Lead and assist in monthly financial reviews for Seed Productivity by comparing actuals to plans and providing insights and actions.
  • Cross-Functional Interaction: Work closely with Seed Business Finance team members and other relevant staff to ensure cohesive fiscal management and reporting.
  • KPI Development: Develop and maintain critical KPIs to support Seed Productivity and other global and regional business stakeholders effectively.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Lead the execution of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to enhance processes, address system failures, and boost overall productivity.
  • Influential Business Partner: Serve as a key business partner across Seeds Operations and Business Finance teams, influencing outcomes and driving financial performance.
  • Regional Collaboration: Work with regional stakeholders to provide guidance, share best practices, and support improvement actions.
  • Miscellaneous Projects: Take on additional projects in Global Seed Operations as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Ag Business or related
  • Experience: 5+ years of financial analysis and reporting experience in the seed business.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and PowerBI.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead multi-function teams and projects to improve processes and overall business results.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning capabilities and reporting competencies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage ambiguity and work well under pressure.
  • Credibility and Influence: Ability to earn prominent levels of credibility and influence across the organization.
