Corteva Agriscience is searching for a motivated individual for a Global Seeds Supply Chain & Operations Finance Leader role in the Seed BU within Corteva organization. This position requires strong analysis and judgment, organizational and communication skills, business acumen and ability to work with a diverse and multi-national team. We are also seeking for professionals who have curiosity to learn and have a passion to make things better every day.

This role reports to the VP, Finance – Seed BU and serves as a strategic adviser to the Global Seeds Operations Vice President and GSO leadership team to provide timely, accurate and insightful financial information, understanding critical drivers and improvement areas for all Seeds cost of revenue buckets.

This position is located in Des Moines, Iowa.

Key Responsibilities – What you will do to help us grow!

  • Provide global guidance for all regions on how to track, report and monitor Cost of Revenue information, including executing a monthly cadence for actuals and outlook financials by partnering with other stakeholders to ensure sound financial roll up.
  • Participate in the Seed BU financial cadence, delivering the necessary level of information through data and/or presentations as requested.
  • Engage on multi-year financial planning process across all regions.
  • Provide consolidated Global Cost of Revenue financials by line item and region. Understand source of variabilities and report in a way that’s clear to decision makers where improvements are needed. Propose actions to improve accuracy and reduce variability (track improvement).
  • Drive efficiencies through the simplification and standardization of COR reporting and processes across regions.
  • Provide cost center reporting by leadership (excluding Plant costing).
  • Be the guardian of inventory levels – assure inventory implications and trade-offs are part of Operations Decisions. Prepare monthly Inventory and Growers Comp reporting.
  • Monitor and report commodity impact into P&L for all crops and regions.
  • Engage with leaders and decision makers on constructive ways to make improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with regional stakeholders to provide guidance, share best practices and support on improvement actions.
  • Develop critical KPI’s to maintain a high level of support for global and regional stakeholders.
  • Develop and continuously improve standard templates and reports and work collaboratively across the regions to simplify, improve, and standardize current processes.
  • Lead execution of ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Act as a sound and influential business partner across the Seeds Operations organization and Business Finance teams.

Qualifications

What expertise have you grown – What do you bring to the table?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required.
  • MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.

Experience

  • Experienced Finance professional with 7+ years with financial analysis and reporting.
  • 2+ years’ experience working for a Seed company and within its supply chain finance team is a requirement.
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience either direct or indirect.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint computer applications; PowerBI knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work with multi-function teams, leading projects to improve processes and results.
  • Solid interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational / planning capabilities; strong business focus.
  • Ability to solve issues in a complex environment.
  • Pro-active attitude: willingness to learn and work in teams.
  • Works well under pressure; ability to manage ambiguity.
