We are seeking a Global Field Digital Lead to spearhead global digital agronomy projects focused on improving yield, quality and reliability across Corteva’s seed production regions.
Location: Johnston, Iowa
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Global Field Digital Lead that will be responsible for direct leadership to the global Decision Agronomy Manager team, guiding investments into digital field tools and infrastructure, capturing value through digital tool process ownership, investigating new digital capabilities through internal or external relationships. This role provides strategic vision for remote sensing, machine data, environmental data, field hardware, and software tools. Attributes value to yield improvement from digital execution. Influences the adoption curve to make every agronomist digital and improve our grower experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation: Brings innovative ideas, concepts, and outside-in opportunities in a way that contributes to the broader team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the GSO Digital Agronomy Strategy, driving use of the digital tools into the daily work of our seed production agronomy teams.
- People Leadership and Development: Lead Decision Agronomy Managers in strategic regions, set development and performance targets, and source talent.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Field Excellence, Production Research Production leaders and Shared Services resources across the Corteva Business to align and leverage investments that maximize seed yield, quality and reliability.
- Change Management: Foster an innovative culture and act as a change agent within the organization.
- Business Acumen: Plan, execute, and document value capture from Business Investments
- Leadership Engagement: Maintain strong connections with global and regional leadership to align project priorities.
- Data Quality Improvement: Lead efforts to enhance field data quality, organize, and analyze data for informed decision-making.
- IT Development: Serve in business sponsor capacity to core field digital products, sensors, models, and 3rd party partnerships
Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business, Agronomy, Business, Technology, or equiv. field. Minimum 10 years experience, proven ability to implement technology to drive business results. Understanding of Production Agriculture and Agronomy. Seed Production Experience beneficial, but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
