Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Business Manager for our Brevant Seeds brand serving the Ohio geography. If you have a passion for providing solutions to customers and supporting a high-performing team, this is a great opportunity for you.

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.

Responsibilities:

The Retail Business Manager (RBM) role is responsible for leading business activities such as account planning, forecasting, strategy execution, product promotion, and relationship building.

  • Essential ownership items for this role include Business Planning with partner accounts to clear the path for seller engagement, Local Account Management with a focus on executing a long term vision for success, and owning Business Critical Communications with retail accounts.
  • Target and maintain strategic relationships at focus accounts driven by District Leader strategy.
  • Secondarily support Retail Sales Agronomist (RSA) efforts to drive product confidence, team sell, and support key retail sellers within focus and strategic account’s as well as primary locations.
  • Execute and manage pricing, promotional, program, product, and discretionary fund strategies within the RDT that align with the RDL.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for account issues and questions for primary locations.
  • Work directly with location and regional managers to support the RSA/retail seller level product confidence, effort, and team selling strategy.
  • Own the account level business planning for focus account’s (as well as location level) and the execution process of the seller strategy.
  • Coordinate efforts with functional leaders in the area. (Area Product Manager (APM), Area Business Development Manager (ABDM), customer service team, supply team, program team, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 7-8 years of total Ag experience.
  • Excellent time management.
  • An intangible drive to succeed and win.
  • Must be able to lead, negotiate, and influence.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Understand changing market dynamics (forecasting, product/marketing input) and help our retail partners navigate and grow in the seed space
  • Ability to pass driving record background check
  • VISA sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this position
