Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer.

The main goal of this role is to offer data analysis and engineering skills for agricultural projects. As part of a global data services team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities – What you will do to help us grow!

  • Develop and maintain an adaptable data platform that integrates organizational information.
  • Assist analysts and engineers with advanced analytics to derive insights from business data.
  • Provide technical leadership to team members and consultants.
  • Perform large-scale experimentation and build data-driven models for business inquiries.
  • Co-Research innovative techniques like machine learning and AI to enhance the data platform.
  • Articulate a vision and roadmap for the exploitation of data as a valued corporate asset.
  • Consult with product teams through presentation of data-based recommendations.
  • Promote best practices within analytics and product teams.
  • Apply critical thinking to challenge common beliefs and concentrate on key issues to identify effective intervention points and strategies.
  • Quickly gain new insights and acquire fresh competencies.
  • Aim to comprehend business needs and achieve outcomes that positively and directly enhance business performance.
  • Utilize a variety of strategies to persuade others to alter their viewpoints or plans, ensuring that all proposals or arguments are bolstered by robust logic and a persuasive business case that addresses all pertinent factors.
  • Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Qualifications

What expertise have you grown – What do you bring to the table?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or other closely related field

Experience

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience, with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility.
  • Experience with data platform technologies (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Dremio, SQL).
  • Familiarity with data cataloging tools and how they can increase the value of data assets.
  • Considerable experience in solving business problems with advanced analytical solutions.
  • Experience building and deploying scalable data pipelines, improving data modeling in a medallion architecture.
  • Work with data architects to design robust data architectures.
  • Consulting with business team members on technical approaches.
