We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our company at our York, NE production facility.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review production schedules, allocate team members and resources to complete schedules and ensure production expectations are met.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained.
  • Serve as an example for others by modeling and implementing an acute safety commitment and a high level of quality assurance while maintaining efficient productivity throughout operations.
  • Provide direction to contract labor pools and perform contract management for high performance.
  • Analyze and resolve problems or assist employees in resolving problems.
  • Lead employees in their development by providing coaching and feedback.
  • Coordinate operation activities by assisting with preparing seasonal areas for production, organizing and training team, and collaborating with other departments.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure activities meet the needs of the Quality and Rough-Cut Capacity Plans.
  • Develop and maintain good communication and rapport with a variety of internal employees and external business partners.
  • Work with other leaders to coordinate workflow and resources between departments.
  • Provide input for workforce planning and development, scheduling, and development of annual business plan.
  • Complete and maintain appropriate records, documents, or reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • You have your high school diploma/GED (Bachelors degree is strongly preferred).

What Skills You Need:

  • You have a valid US Drivers license.
  • You do an excellent job of building rapport and trust with colleagues!
  • You are able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization with your excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You lead by example, and when you see a problem, you view it as an opportunity to find and implement a solution!
  • You are a flexible leader and are able to adjust to changing conditions, prioritize and manage work processes and your workforce.
  • You have strong computer skills that allow you to analyze and interpret data with a variety of tools.
  • You like getting out of your office and into the heart of operations with your team!
  • Safety is your top priority and you are willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations to help your colleague!
  • You are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours including weekend work as needed during seasonal peaks.

Preferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, agriculture or a related discipline.
  • Experience in coaching, leading and managing a diverse team in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Agriculture knowledge/background.
  • Experience in operations, warehousing, production, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience with coaching and feedback experience (including training and counseling others).
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Methodology experience.
