What is the Scope of this Privacy Notice?
Corteva Agriscience™ and its affiliates (“We”, “Us”, “Our”, or “Corteva”) provide this California Applicant Privacy Notice (“California Applicant Notice”) to supplement the information contained in the Applicant Privacy Notice (“Applicant Notice”). This California Applicant Notice provides the notice required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and any regulations promulgated thereunder (collectively, the “CCPA”). In the event of a conflict between the Applicant Privacy Notice and this California Applicant Notice, this California Applicant Notice will prevail as to job applicants and users of the Corteva Careers Site, https://careers.corteva.com (“Careers Site”) that are residents of the state of California (“You”, “Your”).

Sources of Personal Information
As used in this California Applicant Notice, “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly, or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household. We may collect Personal Information from You and from Our third-party providers who support the purposes indicated below.
NOTICE AT COLLECTION
Purposes for Collecting, Using, or Disclosing Personal Information
Personal information collected through the Careers Site, or otherwise in association with your application for employment, will be collected, used, stored, disclosed, and otherwise processed for Corteva’s global recruitment purposes and for related business purposes, as permitted by applicable law, including the following purposes:
- To process your application
- To assess your capabilities and qualifications for a job
- To inform you about job vacancies and events related to our recruiting
- To conduct reference checks
- To determine the diversity make-up of the applicant pool
- To provide you any services available on the Careers Site
- To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your application
- To comply with or monitor compliance with any applicable law or regulation, and to respond to requests from public and governmental authorities including those outside your country of residence
- To monitor and record services whether provided by Corteva or a third party
- To conduct background checks where applicable
- To preserve our legitimate interests, for example, for Corteva’s administrative purposes, aggregate management reporting, internal training, and as generally required to conduct our business within Corteva and its affiliates
- To conduct system administration and technology management, including optimizing the Careers Site to improve design and functionality, and data analytics
- To enforce our terms and conditions, protect the security and integrity of our systems, networks, applications, and data, including detecting, analyzing, and resolving security threats, communicating with law enforcement and information security consortiums, debugging services or systems, identity management including verification and authentication for systems and technology
- To monitor premises security, safety and loss prevention, detection and prevention of fraud and other illegal activity
- For audit and risk management and for the initiation, defense, settlement, or enforcement of our legal rights and to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain
- In the event of any merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of any and all portions of Corteva’s business, assets and/or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings)

Does Corteva “Sell” Your Personal Information or “Share” It for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising?
Corteva does not Sell or Share Your Personal Information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Your Rights
You have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act subject to applicable exceptions or limitations. If You make a privacy request, We will maintain a record of Your request and Our response to it.
Correction
You may request that Your inaccurate Personal Information be corrected or updated, subject to certain exceptions. We may request documentation to determine the accuracy of the requested correction or update.
Access/Copy of Personal Information
You may ask Us to confirm whether We are processing Personal Information about You and request a copy of the specific pieces of Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.
Deletion
You may request that We delete the Personal Information that We have about You, subject to certain exceptions. In some circumstances, in response to a deletion request We may choose to anonymize, aggregate, or deidentify Your Personal Information so that it cannot be linked to or used to identify You.
To Know
You may request that We disclose to you the following information:
- the categories of Personal Information We have collected about You;
- the categories of sources from which Your Personal Information was collected;
- the business or commercial purpose for which We collected Your Personal Information;
- the categories of third parties to whom We have disclosed Your Personal Information and;
- the categories of Personal Information that We have disclosed for a business or commercial purpose and for each category identified, the categories of third parties with whom We have disclosed that category of Personal Information.
Opt-out of Profiling
Limit the Use or Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information
The CCPA provides individuals the right to limit the use or disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about an individual. Corteva does not collect, use, or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for such purposes.
Right Not to Be Subject to Discrimination
You have the right to be free from unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising Your rights under the CCPA.
Verification of Identity
To protect Your Personal Information, Your request to delete, correct, access, or to know is subject to an identification and verification process. The information required for the verification process will depend on the nature of the request, and We may require additional information in order to respond to certain types of requests. Please promptly respond to any communication from Us so that We may process Your request without delay. If You maintain a password-protected account with Us, We may verify Your identity through Our existing authentication practices for Your account and may require You to re-authenticate Yourself before disclosing or deleting Your Personal Information.
Your request may be denied if We are unable to verify that You are the individual to whom the Personal Information relates.
An authorized agent may make a request on Your behalf. In order to protect your privacy and the security of Your Personal Information, We may request that the agent provide information necessary to verify Your identity and proof that the agent is authorized by You to act on Your behalf.

Deidentified Information
Where We maintain or use de-identified data, We will continue to maintain and use the de-identified data only in a de-identified fashion and will not attempt to re-identify the data.
